HOW WE WORK
Useful. Sourced. Upfront.
The guide should help you choose confidently and understand the basis for each recommendation.
Selection and sourcing
We choose places that fit a practical guide or topic, using official websites for basic information. A source check confirms the published information we used; it is not an onsite inspection, a guarantee of service quality, or a claim that every detail is independently verified. Current hours, prices, availability, and access arrangements should be confirmed directly.
Ownership and commercial relationships
Publisher Drew Edmondson owns Transcending Health, Blue Ridge Sound, and STANDBY Local, and is a director of Unified Wellness Project. Publisher-owned listings are labeled. Basic listings remain free. The Business Club offers promotional packages, with enrollment by inquiry. Paid placements must be clearly labeled Sponsored, and paid links must use appropriate sponsored link attributes. Paying for promotion does not buy an editorial endorsement. We do not currently collect payments or activate subscriptions on this site.
Originality and AI assistance
AI assisted with drafting and development. We do not claim to have visited or reviewed a business when we have not. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, awards, interviews, or customer results. Suggested itineraries are editorial ideas; they do not imply that businesses sell a combined package.
Corrections
Business owners and readers can send a correction with the page URL and an official source. Material corrections should update the visible check date and the relevant page information. A listing is not verified by the business unless specifically stated.
Wellness information
Wellness content is general local planning information, not diagnosis or treatment advice. Discuss suitability with an appropriately qualified practitioner.
Photography
The homepage uses an archival August 30, 2008 photograph of the Downtown Mall by Bobak Ha’Eri, from Wikimedia Commons. The file’s licensing section specifies Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. The image has been resized, converted to WebP, and cropped in the layout. It shows a historical streetscape and is not evidence of current storefronts or business conditions.
